I just want to start by saying that this is a great forum. I really appreciate everybody on here. Right now I've been down for the past week with a messed up shoulder. So I decided since I've got the time I would tell more about myself. My name is Michael Jordan, I'm 30 years old, I was born in Siler City, NC. I lived there for about 16 years, I now live in Moore County. Eventually I met the girl of my dreams and got married. We've been together for five years now. Our first child is due at the end of October. I've always loved guitars, even though I never touched one until I was a teenager. After I got my first one I learned very quickly how addicting they can be! I could spend all day just looking at guitars. Something else I've always been into is working on stuff. My dad done body work for 40 years, so I've got a serious love for classic cars and trucks also! He also had a fascination with wood working, which I very much inherited. As a matter of fact that's pretty much all I do now is wood work. I've built a few guitars, built the cabinets in my kitchen, now I'm building the crib and dresser for my daughter. Not to mention all the other stuff I've got lined up after that to build! So you can imagine how hysterical I've got from having to sit still! Hopefully next week I'll be back on my feet. Any way enough rambling, I just wanted to formally introduce myself. Hopefully you guys will join in on this thread so I don't feel like so much of a dork! By the way here's a picture of myself.

Welcome MRJ,
It's nice to put a face to the MRJ.
Hopefully your a quick healer and you can get back to working and buying some of Jack's awesome guitfiddles.
I would have thought that you'd have plenty of cash from playing basketball???
Maybe you blew it gambling like Antoine Walker?
Anyway, I don't think you look like a dork.
Take care man.
Enjoy your stay and stop bothering Jack so he can finish my guitar!

Hey MRJ,
Nice intro, thanks for the little bio. I'm sorry to hear that you torqued your shoulder (ouch!), but hope you'll get back in the swing of things soon.
I see a Strat in your pic that has an interesting finish on it. Looks sort of like a faux marble or something. Can you elaborate?
Cheers, _________________ Jack Briggs

| Welcom MRJ - As Jack said, I hope your shoulder heals soon. I dig the LP in TV yellow behind you. TV yellow is one of my favorite colors. |

| Thanks guys! I appreciate it! I've went back to working in the shop today, so hopefully I'm in good shape now. Richard, just so you know if I had his money I would by myself a bionic shoulder, and several of Jacks guitars! Jack , the Strat is made by Lotus, the only original thing on though is the body. I was the first guitar I ever bought, it's been moded more times than I can count. The finish on it was done by a company in Greensboro called The Color Works, my sister used to work there. They would do artificial wood grain on things like dash boards, pens, or pretty much anything else. They also done a few guitars for Ted Nugent! The finish on mine was unique, it's birds-eye maple over white. Very beautiful! Shane, the LP is a Gibson LP Faded double cut. My wife got it for me for my birthday a few years ago. It's a great guitar, nothing fancy, good sixties style neck on it, and some good P90's. I'm a sucker for TV Yellow! Anyway, I'm rambling again! Lets here from you guys! This is for everybody! |
